Education
Jacob Goyke was an exceptional student and earned several scholarships before graduating from high school. These included the U.S. Presidential Scholars, Community Service Scholarship, and the Journey Scholarship Fund, all of which enabled him to attend Central College, a private institution in Iowa. In his sophomore year, Goyke transferred to the University of Iowa, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Sports and Recreation Management with a concentration in business. This career path offers a wide range of opportunities that merge sports and business, ranging from sports analysis to being a part of a team’s executive management.
Jacob’s degree in Sports and Recreation Management has equipped him with a valuable skill set and industry knowledge about the inner workings of athletic venues, including facilities management, ticketing and sales, equipment procurement, and event marketing.
Career
While Goyke completed his bachelor’s at the University of Iowa, he supervised the summer internship program at SportsPlex West, a 36,000 sq. ft. athletic training facility that supports youth, college, and adult sports teams. Personal Life

Still an avid baseball player, he remains intimately connected with his old team members and coaches. Other passions of Jacob’s are golf and closely following any number of athletic teams, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes Football team, Chicago Cubs baseball, and the Chicago Bears Football.
Goyke continues to contribute and volunteer within his community in many ways. In 2022, he completed an internship at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado. Jacob also volunteered at Lutheran Services of Iowa (LSI). Jacob assisted at LSI in helping students in the English as a second language class and was honored to help them work toward their citizenship.
